REMONTOWA SHIPBUILDING S.A. – well known and appreciated builder of offshore support vessels is going to start construction of next two modern, fully equipped PSV(Platform Supply Vessel) vessels.
The vessels will be built for one of the biggest American Owner in sector of offshore industry.
Long-time cooperation with this Owner as well as high qualifications and experience in construction of offshore support vessels have brought new orders on building next PSV vessels.
The vessels which are being built will be equipped in Diesel – Electric power system enabling most cost efficient exploitation , reduction of fuel consumption and 30% lower emission of NOx and SOx to the atmosphere.
Worth noting is the fact that REMONTOWA SHIPBUILDING S.A. is becoming the pioneer in building of Diesel-Electric powered, “Medium Voltage” vessels.
The vessels will have four Generating Sets, each of 1700 Kw / 4 160 V.
The vessels overall length of 89 m and about 1000 m2 of working deck area are destined for:
– supply services between shore base, drilling platforms and other ships,
– fire fighting,
– safety / standby / rescue,
– collecting spills.
The vessels are being built according to the project elaborated by polish design office MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd from Gdynia. It is already their second project used by REMONOTWA SHIPBUILDING S.A. for building offshore vessels.
The vessels will be built under American Bureau of Shipping supervision and will meet the highest environmental protection requirements as well as worlds’ standards.
