Four the latest generation Platform Supply Vessels shall be built by Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. – member of consortium Remontowa Holding S.A. The contract was signed on 28th of December 2013. Thus, the company has secured a portfolio of orders to the end of 2015.
The order will be executed for one of the leadingoffshore fleet operators in the North Sea – Siem Offshore. The vessels will be built in accordance with the latest technology and global trends. They are designed for operation in the area of the Norwegian Continental Shelf and will be supplying offshore drilling platformswith the essential spare parts, tools, fuel, chemicals, dry bulk and drinking water etc.
Vessels will be equipped with state-of-the-art navigation systems including an advanced dynamical positioning system DP2, firefighting system Fi-Fi 2 and facilities for containing of oil spills as well as conductrescue operations for 300 persons.
Application of dual fuel systems for the use of either LNG or Marine Diesel Oil will not only reduce emissions of harmful substances into the atmosphere but confirms world leadership of Remontowa Shipbuilding in the application of this technology as well.
It is worth noting that vessel will meet the highest standards of environmental protection and safety of navigation “CLEAN DESIGN”. The 89 meter long vessels with a deck area of 970 m2 and with capacity of 5500 DWT will be served by a 25-man crew.
The vessels’ concept and technical documentation will be prepared by Norwegian Wartsila Ship Design office. The vessels will be built and fully equipped by companies belonging to Remontowa Holding S.A.
Delivery of the vessels will start consecutively from third quarter of 2015 up to second quarter of 2016.
Consortium Remontowa Holding employs seven thousand persons. It is the biggest shipbuilding consortium in Poland and subsidiary – Remontowa Shipbuilding S.A. is the biggest supplier of offshore vessels in Europe.
