Remontowa Shipbuilding, member of Remontowa Holding has completed first stage of the prestigious contract for building series of four modern platform supply vessels for the one of the biggest Norwegian offshore fleet owners – Siem Offshore. First of the contracted vessels – SIEM PRIDE has just left our Shipyard.
The vessel is already contracted for maintenance of a Shell oilfield in the North Sea to support offshore activities. She is intended for safe supplying oil drilling and oil mining rigs.
SIEM PRIDE is environmentally friendly with focus on dual fuel consumption, Marine Diesel Oil and LNG. Using the latest technology within dual fueled systems and hull design causes a lot of benefits such as lower fuel consumption therefore lower exploitation costs and the most important lower emissions NOx and SOx to the atmosphere. The vessel meets the highest standards of environmental protection and safety of navigation “CLEAN DESIGN”.
For many years Remontowa Shipbuildinig has been one of the leaders in the construction gas powered car – passenger ferries. Implementing this contract, we have combined our experience in building Offshore Support Vessels with LNG propulsion.
The vessel is 89 meters long, with a beam of 19 meters and with maximum 5,500 dwt. She is equipped with the most modern solutions for Subsea Operation – ROV and AHC Crane, fire-fighting and emergency preparedness, Oil Spill Recovery in Emergency Situations (Oilrec), Rescue and Standby Services to Offshore Installation (Standby Vessel) for up to 300 persons, Safe Hose Operation System (SHOS) as well as state-of-the-art navigation systems including an advanced dynamical positioning system DP2 and gas-electric propulsion.
It is worth mentioning that SIEM PRIDE is first LNG powered Platform Supply Vessel fully equipped at Polish Shipyard – going through building of the hull and ending up with complete outfitting and performing of sea trials.
