About project

The new ferry for Torghatten Nord is intended for the Stornes-Bjørnerå line. The ferry will be equipped with an innovative and very efficient hybrid drive, similar to the one that was successfully tested on the B619/1-4 Vessels for the Norled Shipowner. Under the intended operating conditions, it will operate only on batteries charged from the land during unloading/loading. In the event of a failure of the charging system, the ferry will be able to use 2 conventional generating sets (operating on 100% biodiesel fuel), which will power the electric motors of the azimuth thrusters.
