The next PSV vessel is leaving Remontowa Shipbuilding

The next, christening ceremony of modern PSV vessel, second from series of eight, built for the one of the biggest American offshore Owner took place in Remontowa Shipbuilding on fifth of March 2013.

It is already fifth vessel built in our Shipyard for this demanding Owner appreciating Polish quality as well as Polish projects.
A few years ago, 3 AHTS vessels were delivered, now – the next from PSV series is ordered.
Similar like earlier delivered vessels, this one also will become part of growing fleet of over 200 vessels serving clients from all over the world – this time in Brazil.
The God Mother of the ship – Mrs. Aleksandra Polkowska – named the vessel „KUDU” which means one of the African antelope.
The vessel is built according to MMC 887 Lproject elaborated by MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd from Gdynia / Poland under the supervision of Classification Society – American Bureau of Shipping.
Traditionally for this Client , the vessel’s equipment consists of diesel electric propulsion and other innovative solutions with a common standard for ships built for the Owner in Poland as well as in Brazil and the U.S.
High quality and production standarization contributed to ordering so long series of vessels before, and extending its by subsequent orders. Shipyard cooperates with the Owner in elaboration of next new projects.
Vessel „KUDU” adapted for use in all sea areas, regardless of weather conditions, equipped with a dynamic positioning system, full automation of control loading systems as well as integrated bridge is designed to operate in the region of South America and goes to work on the line immediately after the leaving shipyard.
The next vessels from this series are expected to be delivered in the sequence of three months to ensure work for 1 500 Shipyard’s and subcontractors’ employees as well as continuity of the production.
At the same time the changing and improvement process is continued in order to enhance organizational effectiveness and highest quality standards.
The order book allowed Remontowa Shipbuilding to achieve over 500 mln zlotys income in 2012 and it is expected to exceed 800 mln zlotys income in 2013.
