Launching ceremony of the next, second from the series, multipurpose vessel type PSV took place in REMONTOWA SHI[BUILDING S.A. on 10th of August 2012.
The vessel is built for the one of the biggest American Owner possessing fleet over 200 vessels used to perform complex marine operations including serving, constructing and maintaining underwater installation and securing the proper functioning of drilling platforms.
The launching of this vessel was carried out using floating dock which means that nearly equipped vessel is being slid into floating dock. In the second stage of this operation the dock is submerged and than, the vessel is launched. This new method of launching significantly increased production capacity of our shipyard.
Simultaneously with launching, construction of sixth vessel from the same series, for the same Owner was begun.
Number of fifteen vessels currently under construction, confirms that REMONTOWA SHIPBUILDING S.A. is one of the main supplier of offshore support vessels.
Both, above mentioned vessels are being built under the supervision of Classification Society – American Bureau of Shipping according to the project elaborated by MMC Ship Design & Marine Consulting Ltd from Gdynia / Poland.
